From AudioFile
Sandra Burr's narration of this sweet love story is packed with emotion and drama as she skillfully plays each part. As Karen Kingsbury concludes this fifth book in her Firstborn series, small-town girl Katie Hart and movie star Dayne Matthews are planning their wedding and looking for a house on the lake. Then tragedy strikes, and they encounter a different world when they go to Los Angeles to deal with it. In addition, Katie's father, brother, and sister all struggle with situations that test their faith. Their courage and trust in God are inspirational as they face almost impossible circumstances, family entanglements, and heart-wrenching moments that make this story an engaging listen. Customer Reviews
A sweet "conclusion" for a beautiful story
I have to admit that I had my doubts when I bought this book... the last couple of books in this series were quite repetitive and more of the same. But I was beautifully surprised with Forever because it is really one of those books that you cannot put down even though you know how it is going to end. The dialogues between Dayne and Katy are so sweet and romantic that you will always be wishing for more. And we will get more about them in the new series "Sunrise", which I cannot wait to read!
But, as in the other books in the Firstborn Series, Forever is not only about Dayne and Katy. Forever is also about Luke and his struggles with himself now that he has a brother. I particularly liked this part of the story because what happens with Luke can be applied to many situations and provided me with things to think about in my own life.
Again Kingsbury has created an inspirational story based on faith and love that is not only romantic, but also moving and motivating. It is definitely a must read!
Forever
I have read this book plus the other 4 in the series. They are all fabulous and I enjoyed them immensely and have donated them to my church library. I have read all of Karen Kingsbury's books and am looking forward to Sunrise when it is released.

Fame, Forgiven, Found, Family and Forever......
I hope that as you read this book, "Forever", you have read the four books that precede it. I dearly LOVED this series. I couldn't put any of the books down for more than a moment. The characters became as real people to me as they did to the author. One thing I found interesting to my own value system is that most other "Christian fiction authors" I have read, are quite squeaky clean i.e. no profanity, no sex scenes, etc. With one phase of the story of this series taking place in Hollywood, the story did encompass the lifestyle of the stars of a movie as you read about in newspapers. It was handled delicately and yet it made the story more believable. As much as some may prefer to have none of this side of life exposed, it does exist. I believe an author who has the ability to include these incidents while maintaining the art of forgiveness of the characters, is doing a wonderful job of spreading understanding, forgiveness and showing the consequences of one's actions which we can all apply to our individual situations, when we choose. I highly recommend each of the books in this series. I loaned these books, one at a time, to a friend who came back every day or two for the next one. After completing each one, she would comment, "I wondered what my neighbors thought, as I sat on my porch, reading this book, with tears streaming down my face." Karen Kingsbury has that ability .... you laugh a while and cry a while..........
