4.5 stars! Very humorous. Had me actually laughing aloud.
Delaney "D" Markham was not born with the gift to see and speak with dead people, she acquired it. Not many people want to be around, much less date, a crazy ghost lady. Lucifer promised D fifteen years ago that he would seek vengeance. Looks like the time is nigh. D is in the middle of a séance when Clyde shows up and refuses to leave. D is not interested in anything Clyde has to say since he just lost her rent money. When D finds out that Clyde is a demon, she totally throws him out. However, it seems a binding spell of some sort keeps Clyde coming back to her side.

Clyde Atwell has only been deceased for three months. Lucifer has marked D with an ASAP stamp and tossed into the "vengeance - long overdue" file. All of Hades is buzzing with the news that the Head Boss has finally decided to deal with Delaney. Clyde used a typo to get out of Hades and into the position of being the one ordered to bring D down to Hades. Clyde confesses all to Delaney, but she is not buying it. Clyde swears he died from an explosion in his lab and woke up in the underworld. He claims that he never did anything during his life to have him thrown down into Hades without being given the choice of going upstairs or taking a bribe from downstairs. He has one month to find out what happened the day he died, and thought that perhaps he could help Delaney out by giving her advanced notice that Lucifer is after her and her brother, Kellen. But is Clyde telling the truth or setting her up for the fall of her afterlife?

**** FOUR & A HALF STARS! A humorous romp that left me breathless from laughing at times and nervous at others. This author's pen seems to ooze poison and congealed laughing gas all at once! The secondary characters are as strange, sassy and lovable as D is. I can hardly wait to read more. And there HAS to be more. Cassidy's world is too much fun for a single visit. ****

Delaney Markham sees and talks to dead people. She's channeled this gift into crossing over spirits and holding séances to barely eke out a living. One night while trying to reunite a couple with their deceased loved one, a man comes into Delaney's life having the audacity to wear her pink bath robe! Clyde Atwell is clearly not in his element as he proceeds to throw a money wrench into Delaney's séance, demanding she get rid of her clients and listen to him. What will be Delaney's reaction be when Clyde informs her he's her Demonic ticket to hell?

Strap on your demon-kicking boots and get ready for a bumpy hilarious ride in Dakota Cassidy's Kiss and Hell! Delaney is one heck of a heroine, mommy to a pack of motley canines, just trying to balance the voices in her head. When Clyde literally drops into her life, she has serious misgivings about him. Given her best friend, Marcella, is also a Demon, Delaney has a hard time believing Clyde at first. As she works to figure out the mystery which is Clyde Atwell, she's ecstatic to finally find a man who "gets" her. Who else besides her brother, Kellen, and Marcella have readily accepted her unconditionally? Clyde not only understands her but gets under her skin in oh, so delightful ways, showing he's much more than a geek at heart.

Whew! I think I've got steam coming out of my ears. Glasses? Check. Useless trivia? Check. Socially awkward? Check. Unaware of how hot he is? Double check.

Plus, besides the hawtness, her writing, as usual, made me laugh. Out loud. I think it scared my dogs. I can't wait to see what she comes up with next, and I have a feeling it'll have to involve Kellen and a certain demoness...

If you like Dakota Cassidy, get this book. If you like geeky hunks of burning love, get this book. If you don't like either of these things, well, you're pretty unlikely to be reading this review.
