Average customer review:Product Description
With no memory of her former life in the 21st century, a woman in 17th century England is taken to market early one morning and auctioned off to the highest bidder. The mysterious gentleman that purchases her is a complete stranger, but something about him seems so familiar. . . .
Who is this harsh, forbidding man? Where has she seen him before? What does he want from her? If only she could remember. . . .
Time traveler Susan Jaymes is about to remember everything, including a murder (or possibly two) that she would rather forget.
THE RELUCTANT TIME TRAVELER by Lynda Eymann is a stand-alone novel with a definite conclusion. Although a sequel ( Lord Justin Sittwell Claims a Wife ) will continue the adventures of Susan Jaymes and Lord Justin Sittwell when it is released in late 2009, this first book in the series can be fully appreciated and enjoyed without it.
First Sentence: She was married to a pig of a husband, so it did not surprise her when he took her to market early one morning and auctioned her off to the highest bidder.

Customer Reviews
A DO NOT MISS book. Terrific new author!
The characters are so alive. Pay careful attention to subtle hints. I didn't want to stop reading but I hated to come to the end because I miss my friends. This involves time periods you are familiar with. The storyline is not so stretched that your mind has a hard time accepting it as reality. Truly enjoyable and highly recommend. I am begging her for the next book!!!!
What Doctor Who and Douglas Adams achieved in questioning the concept of time, Lynda has taken one step further...
In a domain of male-favoured lead roles, our Susan is thrust into the frightening realm of the unknown. Vulnerable. Sometimes guilt ridden. Battling surreal situations, but also her own inner demons our heroine is as believable as the girl next door. A uniquely female perspective is presented in this adventure, however, Susan is no wimp. Poignant scenes of tender reflection, thought provoking concepts of time itself and an ending that parallels its' Genesis; Lynda spins the thread of time as elegantly as the settings she creates.
I anxiously await the sequel.
This is a must read!!
Frankly, it is most tempting to write a college essay about this book. It has intrigue, mystery, emotion, surprise and romance. Normally, according to societal rules, the hero and heroine would be considered unsuitable candidates for their roles in the story.
Major kudos to Eymann for daring to shatter taboos and create characters that transcend age barriers and whose beauty lies within.
I just purchased a second book and had it sent to a friend.
