Special Application Tips for Flawless Finish
Oil Free and perfect for any skin type, Clinique's Blended Loose Powder has been a top seller and award winner in the prestige makeup category for decades. Each jar (fits on your palm) comes with a swivel out brush (retracted it's about three inches long) that can be used for application and or touchups. Inside the jar is a plastic screen that helps you keep the majority of the powder in the jar even during application -- wonderful for those of us who tend to drop and spill.

Special Tips For Use:
To get the most flawless finish, Clinique recommends an application technique they call the "powder rub down." Tip a tiny amount of powder from the jar into one hand. Very gently rub your hands together to lightly distribute the powder across both palms. Then use your hands to `wash' your face with the powder. This technique helps keep the hairs on the brush from pushing the powder into the pores, accentuating their appearance. Any excess you see afterwards can be whisked off with the swivel-out brush that comes with each jar.

If you like to touch up with powder throughout the day but don't want to carry the jar or a pressed powder compact, simply dip your brush into the powder in the top of the jar, swivel retract the bristles containing the powder, pop the cap on top, and you can now drop the brush into your purse for a loose powder touch up any time.

Color Notes:
-Transparency 1: Has almost no discernible color. For the palest of the pale. This powder is only a hairs breath darker than baby powder.
-Transparency 2: This powder has a noticeable light pink tone. Excellent for perking up a sallow (yellowish) complexion. Also great for Asian women who want that porcelain look. As a redhead, I find this color powder gives my skin the perk it needs without leaving me looking orange as so many others do.
-Transparency Neutral: Like Transparency 2 without the pink for when 1 is too light and 3 is too dark.
-Transparency 3: Clinique's most popular color . . . by far. If you've ever received a sample in a Gift before, this is it. A very safe color to choose.
-Transparency 4 Plus: A little darker than the old Transparency 4. For when you have a tan or if you're olive or Hispanic without much of a tan.
-Transparency 5: For when you're dark naturally. A big jump from Transparency 4 Plus. Dark Hispanics and the well tanned fit well here.
-Transparency 6: For dark complexions such as African American, though won't be dark enough for the darkest of dark.
-Transparency Bronze: For all skin colors. Although all the other colors are matte in finish (no shine, glisten, or sparkles) Transparency Bronze is the exception. This color is a deep bronzing powder that goes on the skin surprisingly light and with a hint of sheen for that sun-kissed look. Very pretty applied to the cheeks with just a tiny hint on the forehead, nose, and chin.

The best
I've used this loose powder for 20 yrs (since high school) and while I have tried other brands from time to time I keep coming back to Clinique because it's the best. It offers great colors that work with all complexions, it has the best texture, goes on like a dream and leaves skin with a wonderful finish. It also has no offensive odor or perfumes. I am blonde with fair to medium skin. My complexion has golden undertones and can be sallow if I apply the wrong makeup colors. Transparency #2 works best for me. I would highly recommend this product.

I'm in Love
I have been using this powder for about 5 years. It is amazing. I have problems with red cheeks and breakouts. Once I put on my concealer and foundation, I put on this powder and it is truly what makes my imperfections disappear. It even comes with the perfect application brush. This powder is worth every penny because it does what a powder should do!
