Editorial Reviews
From the Back Cover
"Children Will Listen" is a one hour show that follows the process of students in 4th-8th grades from seven Washington, DC inner city schools as they design, costume and perform in a production of Stephen Sondheim's musical play "Into the Woods" supervised by three professionals from the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. This film captures the students' journey from first hearing about the play through design, audition and opening performance at the American Film Institute Theater of the Kennedy Center in May of 2002, where Mr. Sondheim attended the event.
Customer Reviews
great resource for theater teachers
I used this dvd to help introduce my class to the ins and outs of performing a play from start to finish. It was very helpful for them to see first hand the amount of work that was involved when kids do it all themselves.
