30 Day Shred
Great video! Very intense workout! Don't bother buying if you are just expecting a walk in the park. These 20 minute workouts will work your core like crazy, but you will also actually see results! My core has never been so strong in my life! Just don't give up!

Hoping to break the plateau....
Since July 2007, I've lost 18 lbs., went down from size 14 to size 6 and won't go down anymore. I've been stuck in this situation for more than a month now and hoping that Jillian's 30 Day Shred will break the plateau. I eat whatever I want but I watch my portions-sensible eating as I call it!
Well, I've done this 10x now and finally tried Level 3 right after finishing Level 2. It's a Sunday so I have time compared to workdays. I exercise daily except Saturday, my recovery day. Normally, I'd alternate Levels 1 & 2 but Level 3 will also be part of the rotation now. At Circuit 2 Level 3, I thought I wouldn't be able to last anymore but as she said, there's no shame on switching to Anita's [beginner's] level instead of "phoning it in." Honestly, when there are hi-impact moves and they're doable on my rebounder then I don't modify the moves but if it's hi-impact on a plank position, I'd follow Anita's moves. I'm 43 years old and I just want to take care of my knees. Plyometric moves on a hard surface aren't for me. Initially, I did this on alternate days thinking I can't do weights everyday. However, I've read it from Q&A in collagevideo that it's OK to do aerotone as long as I'm not lifting too heavy. So I just use 3s and I still feel and see the difference. Besides, I'm only 5' tall so I want muscle definition but don't want to bulk up. I personally believe that I don't need to heavy up on weights because I have my body weight on all those planks---Level 3 has punches and jacks with weights on the cardio portion. It was really hard but I felt so good when I finished....I just don't know how sore I will be tomorrow....
I'll give an update after I finish doing this 30x. Thanks Jillian....The scale may not be moving and I'm not down to size 4 yet but I FEEL STRONGER AND ENERGIZED!
Good workout when pressed for time.
Overall the workout is pretty good. Actual workout time is about 25 minutes, not 20. Plus if pressed for time, you'll want to load the DVD to get through her 2 minute spiel that you won't be able to fast forward. I've done levels one and two. I would classify myself as somewhere between a beginner and intermediate as I've been doing balance ball workouts and running for a month before starting this. I do feel some knee strain in level one, particularly after a lunge segment. I've paid attention to my form, but must alter the aerobic segment after the lunges. She follows lunges with butt kicks, so I usually do the jump rope segment instead, and that helps. (I don't have bad knees by the way) There's not much stretching with this workout, which is reason to pay good attention to your form so you don't get injured. I'll continue using this workout when I am short on time, but prefer my balance ball workout which includes more stretching. I prefer running to get in my aerobic activity.
