High school is a time of emotional angst and turmoil that begins especially poorly for Virgil Fox (Jason Dolley of Corey in the House) and 11-year old boy genius Charlie Tuttle (Luke Benward of How to Eat Fried Worms) who are both coldheartedly embarrassed in front of the entire Summerton High School student body on the first day of their freshman year. Their shared experience does have one positive result: it leads to the forging of a close friendship that endures throughout their high school years. In their senior year of high school, Charlie discovers the key to time travel and he and Virgil enlist the help of mechanical-minded Zeke (Nicholas Braun) to create a time vortex which allows the three boys to travel back in time at will. The three pledge to use their newfound power to right the petty injustices of high school life; taking on Chelsea (Stephanie Jameson) as an assistant, and calling themselves the "Minutemen." Life is all fun, adventure, and good deeds for a while, with the only drawback being the unsavory moniker of "Snowsuit Guys." However, their time-bending activities are eventually noticed by the FBI and it soon becomes evident that their good deeds are having some serious unanticipated consequences: specifically, significant personality changes in those they help and the development of a black hole that threatens the very existence of Summerton and the entire world. As the group struggles to repair the damage their time traveling has caused, each learns an important lesson about friendship and what really matters in life. This Disney Channel original movie isn't quite High School Musical, but it is good entertainment for ages 6 and older. --Tami Horiuchi

Fun for the whole family
This is a great movie for the whole family and it is one that you won't mind watching over again. It's a nice addition to the video collection.
"This is my FAVORITE movie!!!"
When I gave this movie to my 11 year old niece, she said, "This is my FAVORITE movie!!!" This is one of those rare tween movies that appeal to both boys and girls (unlike High School Musical which seems to target girls). As a parent, I am happy that Disney is making appropriate entertainment for this age group. I think if your kids enjoy "Hannah Montana", "The Suite Life of Zack and Cody", and of course, "Cory in the House", they will certainly like this movie. I enjoyed this one as much or more than most of the Disney Channel Original Movies.
Family-Friendly, But Too Silly For Adults.
It is family-safe for young children. It deserves 4-stars for this. But it does not hold the attention of adults, it deserves a 2-stars rating for this.
