In each and every story, that which is familiar and commonplace takes on a dark tone, and the girl next door is the most horrifying monster yet encountered. From ladies' afternoon tea to driving in Los Angeles, facets of every day life become twisted through a well-studied Lovecraftian vision into something that the mind does not want to recognize, but can not help to. One of the better Lovecraft-style books I've read.
