Christmas in the Northwest Volume 9 features musical artists from the Pacific Northwest to benefit Children's Hospital and Regional Medical Center in Seattle, Doernbecher Children's Hospital in Portland and Children's Miracle Network in Spokane.

Christmas in the Northwest 9 features top Northwest artists like Kenny G, Kevin Thornton, The Coats, Rye Hollow, Ian McFeron, Michael Powers, Dirty Martini, Catherine Hessler, The Hope and more, including an all new live version of Brenda White's classic hit "Christmas in the Northwest".

The artists on the Christmas in the Northwest CD compilations donate their performances in order to support this project's ambitious fundraising goals.

As of 2005, this project has raised over $750,000 for Children's Hospitals, and net proceeds from the sale of this CD benefit northwest children's hospitals - so that no child is turned away, regardless of their ability to pay for medical care.

A great northwest tradition
Steve Lawson's team has done it again - a vibrant, eclectic and enchanting collection of music for the holiday season. Over the years the talented contributions to this project have delighted my family and guests to our home. This album makes the perfect gift, by the way. Each new album has big stars like Dave Mathews and (this year) Kenny G - but always surpises with new talent - we now own every CD by Late Tuesday, for example. The fact that net proceeds benefits uncompensated care funds at Seattle's Childrens Hospital - guaranteeing that no child without insurance ever leaves with a hospital bill should be reason enough to buy this album. But musically it stands alongside all those others over the past twenty years - no wonder recording artists stand in line to be part of this project! Enjoy this CD, enjoy giving this CD as a gift, and welcome to the Christmas in the Northwest tradition!
