I like it
it looks good and the price is about right. The only thing I've noticed so far is that the inner screw top plug has a thin thin smooth rim that is difficult to grab onto. If the top is screwed in tightly or your hands have a little arthritis it can be very frustrating and a bit painful to work loose. A more generous sized and fluted screwtop would be much easier to work with. I'm going to glue an accessory handle top onto mine using Gorilla glue which I've found works on anything reliably.

Does the job
I have a one-liter version in addition to this two-liter one. Without its top, the 2L jar is 13 inches tall. With its top, it is 14 inches.

Either will keep ice solid for two days if left alone. You can put conventional ice cubes through the top if you melt the cubes for a few seconds (two or three) in water first. If one gets stuck in the top, pour a little water over it, slowly. Another hint: you can clean a Thermos innard pretty well with an effervescent denture cleanser tablet.

... Over a year after I wrote that review, I can tell you that this is the King of Thermoses. I am very glad that I bought it.

Excellent Thermos
Bought the Thermos to carry coffee to work. Keeps coffee hot well into the afternoon, 6 hours no problem. Have not used it for cold transport, so I can't comment on that. I do like the way the handle collapses and folds nicely into the bottle.
