![]() | Sassy Me In The Mirror
Buy new: $12.89 Now this is a crib toy that really grows with your child. Starting on Day 3 when he first came home from the hospital, this mirror was my son's very first toy. As he got older, he was able to use more of the toy: first looking in the mirror, then grabbing the ring, then spinning lady bug. Soon I'll have to take it out of the crib before he starts using it to climb out.

![]() | Tiny Love Symphony-in-Motion Mobile- Farm Yard
Buy new: $29.50 This adorable mobile fascinated my son as a newborn. Now that he is old enough to stand up in his crib, we use it over his changing table instead. It keeps him entertained long enough for us to slip on a new diaper without having him roll over or try to dive off the table.

![]() | Tan Pup Lil' Snugglers
Buy new: $9.53 Now *this* is the perfect infant car seat toy. It's a plush toy and a soft blanket all in one happy little package. We used this puppy every time my son rode in his infant car seat. It's also great for hiding a block underneath and teaching babies about object permanence.

![]() | Baby Einstein Discover and Play Color Block
Buy new: $9.99 These blocks were my son's #1 toy for the first several months of his life. He loves the jingling blocks, and the quacking duck sound never fails to make him smile. Most of all, he loves it when I stack up the blocks so that he can knock them down. Block tower knockdowns never seem to get old.
|
![]() | Baby Einstein Links
Buy new: $4.99 These are just so handy. I have several rings that I use as a "leash" for his rattles and other toys. When we go to restaurants, I give my son his toys and hold one end of the ring chain. When he throws the toy down, surprise! It never hits the nasty restaurant floor. Love these things.

![]() | Fisher-Price Rock-A-Stack
Buy new: $9.62 These rings have been a favorite toy since my son was 3 months old. He's 10 months old, and he still can't stack the rings on the peg. However, they're awful fun to bang together.
|
![]() | Taggies Stack 'N Nest Cups
Buy new: $26.20 Babies sure do love tags. My son started going for the tag on my Boppy pillow at 2 months old, so boy was he excited when he hit the tag jackpot with this toy. It's also fun to hide blocks and things inside the cups and stack them up so that babies can knock them down.
|
![]() | Edushape Snap 24-pc. Bead Set
Buy new: $25.99 Like the name says, these beads snap together to make chains. They're also fun to bang together. They float, so my son likes them in the tub, too. He also likes using 3 beads snapped together as a floppy drumstick. At 10 months, he still can't unsnap and refasten the beads, which tells me this toy has a long way to go before it gets old.

![]() | Tiny Love Gymini Super Deluxe - Lights&Music
Buy new: $43.00 When my son was a newborn, he never really liked tummy time. He was never into the lights or the music or even swatting the dangling toys. However, now that he's a little older, those dangling toys are some of his favorites. He loves the elephant's crinkly ears and the giraffes colorful feet. Even the rings that attached the toys to the soft arches are fun!
|
![]() | Baby Whoozit
Buy new: $10.95 The Baby Whoozit is perfect for attaching to an infant car seat. Hard toys become projectiles in the event of a car crash, so the soft Baby Whoozit really fits the bill. The red squeaky nose, green crinkly arrow, red heart rattle and pink finger-size rings are like catnip for babies.
|
![]() | Infantino Giggle Ball Toy Set
Buy new: $12.03 My son looooooves the crab rattle. The crab rattle alone is worth the money - it is absolutely the best rattle on the market. The crab legs are great for teething, the rattles in the crab claws are nice and shiny, and the crab squeaks when you push his head. My son really enjoys the other 2 toys as well, but the crab is really The One.

![]() | Grannimals Alice the Mole - 10"
Buy new: $11.99 I'm not sure what it is about Alice the Mole, but my son loves playing with this adorable knitted stuffed animal. The 10" size is perfect for little ones to hold.
|
![]() | Bright Starts Tropical Fun Around We Go Activity Station
Buy new: $79.99 Forget the exersaucer. This is absolutely the best activity toy out there. Not only does my son love running laps around the activity table, but he loves playing the "piano" and squeezing and shaking all the different toys as well. This toy is 100% entertaining for babies and 200% entertaining for adults.

![]() | Gummy Guppy Teether by Sassy
Buy new: $4.50 Oh, Fishy. You have always been my son's favorite tub toy. He loves to watch you floating in the bath water, and now that he's teething, he loves to chomp your tail, too. Here's to you, Fishy. You are indeed a favorite.

![]() | Flipper Gripper Rattle developmental baby toy by Sassy
Buy new: $5.99 These rattles spin and really capture baby's attention. They're also easy for little hands to grasp. Perfect for distracting baby during a diaper change, sitting in a high chair at a restaurant, or riding in the car. Attach to a chain of rings to keep them off the floor!
|
![]() | Brilliant Basics - Baby's First Blocks
Buy new: $59.99 This is truly a versatile toy. Put all the shapes in the bucket, then dump it on the ground. Or, stack the shapes up and let baby knock the shapes down. Or, turn the bucket upside down and thump it like a drum. My 10 month old son has not figured out how to use the sorting lid yet, so it seems this toy has a long life ahead of it, too.
|
![]() | Roll-a-Rounds Pull & Spin Caterpillar
Buy new: $29.99 This toy is such a steal. It comes with 3 roll-a-rounds, which are the perfect size for babies to hold and chase after (plus they are neat looking, too!). Even before your baby can pull the caterpillar, rolling it on the floor back and forth or spinning its wheels is a blast. The balls look cool as they rotate on the caterpillar's back. Two thumbs up for this fun toy.

![]() | Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? by Bill Martin Jr.
Buy new: $7.95 / Used from: $0.30 Is a book a toy? If you saw the way my son handles it, you'd probably say yes. We may have to replace this tattered board book with a fresh one, as it helped him through his first 7 teeth. He always smiles when we read him Brown Bear.
|
![]() | The Farmer Says
Buy new: $23.30 After 30 years, these animal sounds are still cute. They say this is for 18 months and up, but my 10 month old thinks the fun sounds are lots of fun. This new version even sings "Old McDonald Had a Farm."
|
![]() | Hasbro Playskool Step Start Walk 'n Ride
Buy new: $22.99 My son is cruising now, and he loves this walker. The toys on it are fun, and he is starting to figure out how to use the walker itself. He also likes to sit down in the car and get pushed around the living room. Great gift for a cruiser!
