Review
I had no idea National Geographic made adventure maps until recently when I was given a copy of their Northern Yucatán Peninsula Adventure Map. I didn't have it with me on my trip but I wish I had. One side has a map of the Northern Yucatán Peninsula with detailed city insets of Cancún and Mérida; the other side has information -- plus maps -- of the Yucatán's most important archaeological sites. And it's made of waterproof-tear-resistant material so you won't have to worry about ripping it or getting it wet. Great map! --Journeys Near and Far Blog :: March 2, 2009

Excellent map for adventure travel
If you're seeking the perfect map for your trip to Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula, look no further. The front side of the map contains detailed roads, plus the locations of all the popular tourist destinations and adventure activities. If you're planning on visiting any of the Maya sites, they are clearly marked on the map and the reverse features guidebook like descriptions and building site maps along with a brief history of Maya civilization. The map is printed on waterproof paper and stands up well to being folded, stuffed in a bag, and used again and again. Highly recommended and a deal at $11.95.
