Customer Reviews
Who are The Lazy Cowgirls ?
Probably the best band you've never heard of, The Lazy Cowgirls have been sonically likened to (" Exile on Main street" era) Rolling Stones as crossed with the Ramones. In reality, their diverse influences also encompass Bob Dylan, Muddy Waters, The New York Dolls, Hank williams, The Stooges, Merle Haggard,Johnny Thunders,Jason & The Scorchers and Chuck Berry. Although their influences are wide ranging they never imitate. The Cowgirls Music is rooted in Rock'n'Roll, Blues, Country, Roots rock, and R&B, With the influences of books, film ,love , decandence , and money thrown in. After 18 years of going( and growing) Strong, The Cowgirls now have their strongest lineup yet: Pat Todd on lead Vocals, Acoustic guitar and percussion, Michael Leigh on Electric and Acoustic guitar and vocals, Leonard Keringer on Bass and Vocals, and Bob Deagle on Drums. With the release of Rank Outsider in 1999, a new release Somewhere Down The Line, and both North American and European tours coming this year, The Lazy Cowgirls show no signs of slowing down but, rather, just keep getting better with age.
