simple, basic, gets the job done
Been composting for more than 30 years. I've used this type of composter for the last 15 of them. (I don't recall how to manage kitchen scraps without composting them.) I can produce "hot" compost very quickly when I have the time to pay attention, but I don't worry about critters getting into the bin when I have to leave it sit for awhile. Tip: Use these bins with one of the push & turn compost aerators on the market - a fork does not work because of the vertical bin- same as most of this type of bin. My only concern is that the company is hard to find - perhaps the manufacturer has changed several times? Once found, they have sent me replacment bolts , and replaced panels that broke within the 25 year warranty period. Now, if I could just locate them again in order to purchase another couple of rodent screens, I'd be VERY pleased.
