Customer Reviews
There Are Different 5920 Models- Read the NEXT 4 digits.
The previous reviewer thinks that he got the same thing advertised here, with another gig of RAM. It's understandable, since ACER doesn't do much to differentiate them. This model is (apparently) the GEMSTONE. It has the Centrino model processor, Windows Vista Ultimate, Bluetooth, excellent graphics card, and a better looking outer case, just to name a few things. The model at Wal-Mart is an excellent buy, though, so it is a tempting deal for me, for my second Acer 5920. I think it's similar to the Circuit City deal, but without the graphics card they have (I believe). The Wal-Mart model (5920-6864)has HDMI, but I think (from reading the descriptions online and on the package) that it uses Intel Graphics Accelerator (motherboard software). There is another to consider 5920-6854 (not 6864) that has everthing but Bluetooth (which can be added - Google it). It has the better Graphics card and 2 gigs of RAM for about a grand. I'm open to correction (I know, you'd correct me even if I weren't), but this is my present understanding of the 5920 line. There are some 17 inch models out there that are great values as well. With Acer, they give lots of hardware value, but are cheap because they have almost no service whatsoever IMHO. Read about that online if that is a concern.
Acer Aspire 5920
It's my first laptop but I have not had any problems with it. I bought mine at Walmart for $680 not the $1900 everybody else wants for the same thing. Mine has 3GB DDR2 160G hard drive. Other than that it's the same one listed here.
