The American Heritage Dictionary of the English LanguageThe American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language
Buy used from: $4.74
Be careful when you choose a dictionary: small paperbacks generally aren't complete enough for business writers, and many hardback dictionaries are out of date or badly edited. This is my favorite.
Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary, 11th Edition thumb-notched with Win/Mac CD-ROM and Online SubscriptionMerriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary, 11th Edition thumb-notched with Win/Mac CD-ROM and Online Subscription by Merriam-Webster

Also very good, this dictionary is the most widely used.
The American Heritage College Thesaurus, First EditionThe American Heritage College Thesaurus, First Edition
Buy new: $16.46 / Used from: $1.94
Using a thesaurus is risky. It can help you find a word you know but have forgotten. However, it can hurt you by suggesting a word that isn't appropriate or effective. This is one of my two favorites.
Bartlett's Roget's ThesaurusBartlett's Roget's Thesaurus
Buy new: $12.71 / Used from: $4.29
And this is the other.
Merriam-Webster's Dictionary of English UsageMerriam-Webster's Dictionary of English Usage by Inc. Merriam-Webster
Buy new: $19.10 / Used from: $7.95
Usage guides cover the etiquette of language, from when you can split infinitives to whether you can say "prioritize." Of the many usage guides available, I recommend this one.
The Business Writer's Handbook: Seventh EditionThe Business Writer's Handbook: Seventh Edition by Gerald J. Alred

This A-Z reference book can answer lots of specific questions at each step in the writing process.

This book, with an obvious nod to Strunk and White (which it surpasses), lists 67 principles of good writing, with about two pages each of details and examples.
Revising Business Prose (4th Edition)Revising Business Prose (4th Edition) by Richard Lanham

Taking the same basic approach to revision as I do, this book has gained wide recognition for its "paramedic method" of revising.
Style: Ten Lessons in Clarity and Grace (7th Edition)Style: Ten Lessons in Clarity and Grace (7th Edition) by Joseph M. Williams
Buy used from: $15.66
Although it doesn't focus on business writing, Williams's book is another excellent resource for revision.
The Writing CoachThe Writing Coach by Lee Clark Johns

This large-format book, by a leading writing consultant, is dedicated "to everyone who `writes for a living'--which means almost all working adults."

This book sums up what I've learned from nearly 40 years as a business writer.
