Editorial Reviews

From the Back Cover
A fun and quirky poem based on Proverbs 13:4 about the importance of diligence—for ages 8 and under When two caterpillows begin spinning their cocoons, one becomes lazy and decides life would be much more fun if he spent his time playing instead of working. He discovers too late, however, that a caterpillow has to finish his work before the nineteenth of Maquerk to successfully change into a butterfly. In its fun and quirky way, the story shows kids that having fun sometimes needs to take a backseat to more important things—and that being responsible has its own rewards. Without hard work, there would be no butterflies—and we’d be up to our elbows in caterpillows. This charming poem is loosely based on the Promiseland® Metamorphosis curriculum.

Customer Reviews

Dr. Seuss for the Christian family5
I can't believe I get to be the first to tell how amazing this series of books are. There are 3 books in the set and if you have small children, these are a must have for your collection.
Even if you don't have children buy them for yourself. I am 33 years old and love the way Aaron Reynolds presents the message.
I actually sit down and read them by myself just because they are so fun.

If you have kids, grandkids, neices and nephews, anyone in your family that loved Dr. Seuss, BUY THESE BOOKS. You will love them.

I COMPLETELY AGREE5
Aaron Reynolds does a magnificent job teaching our children the importance of getting our work done first in The Nineteenth of Maquerk.

We own this one, the one about the Yuck Bugs, and the Bungle Bird, which is my personal favorite! I can't read Bungle Bird without a Southern draw in my voice.

Other great books from Reynolds are the Tiger Moth series (great for a 7+yrs boys), Chicks and Salsa (always leaving me craving for quackamole) and Buffalo Wings. The kids and I never grow tired of reading these books, night after night after night...
