Metrokane, maker of the famous Rabbit corkscrew, also produces elegant barware for the discerning home bartender. Holding 23 ounces, this handsome shaker adds sophistication to any cocktail party with its combination of gleaming 18/8 stainless steel and faux leather covering in a choice of red or black. Fine white stitching and a subtle pebbly texture give the imitation leather a very realistic look. A removable stainless-steel strainer and cap are included; all the stainless parts are corrosion-proof, and the faux leather is waterproof, so drips simply wipe off.
Other excellent gift items from the VIP collection include an ice bucket, flask, and bar tool set, all in the same stainless and "leather" styling. Metrokane also makes the fabulous art-deco Bullet cocktail shaker, and many intriguing accoutrements for the wine connoisseur. --Ann Bieri
