Customer Reviews
Tremendous value and wonderful to use
I bought this pan as an experiment after Consumer Reports' glowing reviews of this product line. I've been an AllClad die-hard for a long time, but I wanted a larger non-stick pan and didn't want to blow $250 at this point.
So far, I have not been disappointed by this pan. In fact, it out-performs my AllClad in certain ways--the heat retention and distribution is phenomenal. I have an elderly electric stove, so this is a real factor for me -- I need a pan that will get hot, stay hot, and have even heat distribution and this one does the trick.
The build quality is commensurate to other high-quality cookware I've used. I would recommend this item to anyone out there who is willing to pay a little extra for quality but not get ripped off by big brand-name retail pricing.
Nice pan but squeals on an induction cooktop
A good, heavy pan with a great nonstick coating and even heat distribution. The handle is comfortable, which is important because the multi-layer construction makes it much heavier than an all-aluminum nonstick skillet.
This is one of the few induction compatible nonstick skillets on Amazon. Unfortunately, it squeals annoyingly on an induction cooktop. From my reading this is mainly a property of the pan and multilayer pans such as this one are the most susceptible. I would knock off more than one star for this if I knew of a comparable induction-capable pan that wasn't 2-3x as expensive.
Love my new KitchenAid Nonstick Skillet!
I am very happy with this skillet. I look forward to many years of making wonderful food with it!
