Interesting Format, But Nothing New1
The One Minute Entrepreneur is a book full of short one sentence tips on being a successful entrepreneur. However, instead of being only tips, it is the story of a young man and his life. It begins with him in high school where he is given the idea to write down any key pieces of advice people give him. It continues on to his first job in college and then after college. He meets many mentors that will guide him along his journey as he starts his own company and experiences the ups and downs of running a company.

Providing useful tips in this format is interesting and much more entertaining than just reading a long list of short one sentence pieces of advice, but the dialogue between the characters is not normal and seems kind of corny as you read through it. The advice is also not that original and is not explained in much detail. An example, when starting his own business, a mentor tells him that one of the four keys to being successful with your own business is to make sure your income exceeds expenses....of course that is key to running your own business...this was not the only obvious piece of advice given throughout the book.

Concerning the audio portion of the book, the characters are for the most part all done by the same narrator. The speaker does try to use different voices for each but it doesn't add to the story. Also, add the end of each chapter, the author of the book actually does the reading for the "One Minute Insights" and not to be rude, but his voice is not best for audio books. He tends to slur words which makes it harder to listen to.

Overall, the book only takes roughly 3 hours to listen to and can provide some motivation for becoming a better employee, manager, or business owner/entrepreneur. I was able to rent it at the library and found it worthwhile to listen while driving to and from work but I would never recommend spending money on it.
