Traditional folklore has spoken of guardian angels who guide and protect us. However, although there are numerous stories of the miraculous intervention of these beings, some people still write them off as myth and superstition. Based on his own personal experience and cognition, Rudolf Steiner spoke of guardian angels and other spiritual beings as a reality. Their existence, he said, is a spiritual and scientific fact that can be researched and studied by clairvoyance. One of his aims was to enable people to connect again with these spiritual beings not only for their own benefit, but also for the benefit of the other kingdom of nature and the whole destiny of the earth's evolution. In his writings and lectures Steiner intended to lead people from belief to recognition, knowledge, and understanding of spiritual beings. In these six specially selected lectures, which until now have lain hidden away in very early publications or journals, he describes the role of the guardian angel and discusses our relationship to the heavenly hierarchies of spiritual beings as a whole and how they shape our human form as a result of their cosmic activity.

About the Author
RUDOLF STEINER (1861-1925) became a respected and well-published scientific, literary, and philosophical scholar, particularly known for his work on Goethe's scientific writings. At the beginning of the twentieth century, he began to develop his earlier philosophical principles into an approach to methodical research of psychological and spiritual phenomena. His multifaceted genius has led to innovative and holistic approaches in medicine, philosophy, religion, education (Waldorf schools), special education (the Camphill movement), economics, agriculture (biodynamics), science, architecture, and the arts (drama, speech and eurythmy). In 1924 he founded the General Anthroposophical Society, which has branches throughout the world.

Rudolf Steiner's Guardian Angels lectures
This is an excellent book, I would recommend it highly. It is not about the angel fad of today but translated from 1920's lectures and remains relevant. Steiner is an amazing philosopher who reaches in multiple directions, spiritual is one of many. In this book you will think about certain passages over and over again, just like most of Steiner's work. I like this book especially because it is Steiner directly translated compared to many books about Steiner's work.

Excellent Book
This book just like many other Steiner books, offers a great deal of insight in respect to angels, human consciousness, spirtuality, and our awareness. It seems that every time I pick up the book and read it, It is a brand new book. New ideas or certain sentences just seem more meaningful the second time around you read them.

Steiner is profound but this is not the best collection
The title struck me as being about one thing, but this is not a comprehensive work of Steiner's lectures on the subject of human relationships with angelic beings. The book feels as if it was packaged to sell quickly, for more than it is worth; the lectures do not fully relate to the subject and do not convey the breadth of Steiner's thought, and there are better materials that could have been compiled by a more skillful and informed editor.
