Knowing the bible is crucial for a would be Kabbalist, Grimoirist, Enochian Magician, or Rosicrucian. I'd recommend the NSRV or NIV.

THE reference book on the Golden Dawn. Read the knowledge lectures, the initiations, and take notes on the papers. Especially Book 9 (the enochian system), and the exposes on the Pentagram and Hexagram ritual.

Great book on Hermetic Qabalah. Goes into great detail on each Sephiroth.

An interesting take on the Qabalah, though I don't always agree with it.

Another good introduction to the world of ceremonial magic. I found their sections on Geomancy and Talismans particularly helpful.

One of the Sourceworks of Enochian. Discusses the Heptarchia, which is a crucial aspect that the Golden Dawn left out.

Great book on the Waite-Smith deck

I'm not sure if this is the actual "Parker's Astrology" that you will be linked to, but that book is an invaluable and encyclopedic reference.

Interesting works here... contains some interesting articles on Thelema and Enochian Magic.

This sheds alot of light onto the book of thoth and the thoth (crowley) deck.

Be VERY wary about the authors interpretations of the use of Enochian and the Apocalypse. However, the book is good for practical enochian magic advice.

Another book by DuQuette on Enochiana. This tends to go to the source material from John Dee and Kelley, and has less emphasis on the GD and Crowley material.

A great primer on the roots of hermeticism. Very interesting read.

The original writer on modern sigil magic.

An interesting work by Peter Carroll which delves deeper into CMT. I personally like this one better than Liber Null and Psychonaut. I also believe that CMT should be introduced later in one's magical practice, mostly due to misinterpretations from beginners who look at it as an excuse for laziness and lack of integrity.

Some brilliant occult fiction by Umberto Eco. Each "section" of the book is a sephiroth, and the narrative somewhat follows it. Probably hard to understand for those without a background in Kabbalah, Rosicrucianism and Occult history, but its a thoroughly brilliant book. I can't recommend it enough.
