From the Back Cover
A vision. You as a leader may have it, but has your organization caught it? If a leader's vision is all about what could be and what should be, why are you buried under what is? Noted author and pastor Andy Stanley points out that if followers don't get the vision, it's because the leaders haven't delivered it. He reveals the three reasons vision doesn't stick. And then he delivers three ways to make vision stick, to make you a leader worth following: 1. Cast vision strategically: defining your vision. 2. Celebrate vision systematically: regularly rejoicing in the successes 3. Live your vision continuously: putting your vision into practice in your own life With Making Vision Stick, you'll learn how to propel you and your organization forward on the vision God has granted you.

Customer Reviews
three and a half stars, if I could
I always count on Andy Stanley to have something to say that will be practical and helpful. This book did not disappoint in this regard. He reminds us in the church -- and really anyone who has a vision for a family, organization, or company -- that the work is not done once the vision is clear. The vision takes reinforcement and reminders. There are signs for which to watch that suggest the vision is slipping and needs attention. The message of the book is worthwhile.
However, the book's length would be more appropriate for an article in a periodical than a book for separate publication. Thus, for this particular topic, I'd recommend looking for articles online or in business or church leadership periodicals first.
Recapture the Vison
A few years back, we established a Biblical purpose for our youth ministry. It has been our guide to stay focused and on track to do the work of God. This year, we had a youth leadership retreat to plan and evaluate. I read this book before the retreat and it helped me communicate better our purpose and gave many ideas to continue the process. As Andy says, "Vision does not stick without constant care and attention." I would highly recommend this book! It gave me renewed passion about our purpose.
Practical book on vision
I read Andy's Visioneering several years ago to help me get my hands around vision. This book is much more practical as it takes the principles in Visioneering and condenses them down to simple, doable steps.
Andy's books on vision have encouraged me to write a book on personal vision as well.
