BEST QUALITY!
I have been buying these shorts for my son for years. When they go on sale at the end of summer I buy next year's size in the colors that he wears the most just to be sure if they stop making them, he will have them. He loves them and at 10 he is pretty vocal about his clothes. I have only had one issue with any clothing I have EVER bought with Children's Place and it was resolved in the store very quickly. Matter of fact, his clothes get handed down and go through 2 other boys (at least!) and still never had any problems with the clothes. I have used the online store many times and have never had any problems. Always helpful staff in store. Somewhat limited supply when things are on sale online but...buy when you see 'em or take the chance they won't be there when you come back. I don't know why the other reviewer had problems. Anything that is bought through the online store can be taken to the store and the problem should be fixed then. Not sure but I have been buying clothes there for 10 years and only had one issue. That says something about the store and the clothes!

Favorite shorts
My son now wears them every day for his uniforms. The wash very well, and are extremely comfortable.

Great shorts for active boys
Love Children's Place for boys clothing because their clothes are sized perfectly fr my boys (not too small/tight) and especially their jeans and these shorts are rugged. I know that when I buy clothing from CP they are going to outlast my kids, and at this price you just can't beat it anywhere, not even walmart or target and the quality far surpasses anything else around. These shorts are great for kindergardners and preschoolers as the waistband is elastic so no snaps or zippers to fool with when going to the bathroom, and they can pull them up and down all by themselves.
