Product Description

Having a baby is one of the biggest life-decisions that a couple can make together. Plan to Get Pregnant tells you what you need to do to maximize your chances of conception, and breaks the process down into 10 manageable steps. It not only talks you though getting pregnant, but it also offers guidance on how to stay pregnant, especially through the, often difficult, first trimester. From how to know when you're both ready to become parents and what to eat for maximum fertility, to embarking on IVF treatment and beyond, this book is a must-read for anyone who wants to start a family.

Balanced, reassuring perspective4
West's user-friendly, ten-easy-steps book is actually very meaty. It's not the size of a big city phone book, yet practically every reader will add to his or her knowledge about fertility. It's a new book as of March 2008 which I was happy to see because it's likely to be up-to-date on new findings in the field of baby-making. West includes practical medical information and a helpful emphasis on lifestyle and nutrition, topics I hadn't thought much about in relation to getting pregnant...and not just for women but also for men (my guy read it, too). West knowledgeably addresses both complementary therapies like acupuncture to support fertility as well as more invasive approaches such as in vitro fertilization. West is based in London and so you'll occasionally run across a word of Brit-speak, but this edition was edited for the US market so the web resources and vocabulary are generally American.

Pregnancy information5
I very much enjoyed this book by Zita West. It was quite informative and provided up to date information as well as answering questions about EVERYTHING concerning pregnancy. This is helpful book for any woman trying to get pregnant or thinking about it.
