Great Concept, Poor Design
I have been looking everywhere for something to keep my massive collection of coupons organized so I can easily access them during my shopping trips, unfortunately I need to keep looking.
The first problem is this item is not sold directly by Amazon, so you end up spending more on shipping then the cost of the item.
Once you get the item, you will find the tabs which are suppose to be white, are a random mix of white and translucent. They've either been left in the heat, or this product has been sitting on a shelf for a long time. The tabs are small stickers which you are expected to fold perfectly in half and place on the sheets at specific positions. After attempting to do this I found my hands sticky and my coupon organizer looking like a third grade arts and crafts project.
The pages themselves are made of an extremely light weight plastic. They contain a vertical slit which does a good job at keeping the coupons in, but make it difficult to get coupons in and out of, something you do frequently during a shopping trip.
The inside cover contains a cardboard shopping list with blank lines for you to write in your items. I'm not sure what the idea is behind this as my shopping list changes every week. This really should have been a pad of paper.
I'm using this coupon organizer for now, as it's better then not having one at all, but I wouldn't be surprised if it started to fall apart after a month of use.
Coupon Organizer
This is the worst coupon organizer I've ever had. You have to pull all of the coupons out of each sleeve in order to easily see which ones you have. The labels that came with it were in poor shape and leave a sticky mess. Don't buy it.
My favorite organizer
I've had my coupon organizer for over 10 years, I am pleased that I found another one! I am an average coupon user of around 10-15 coupons per grocery trip - not a "coupon queen" using 50+ coupons per shopping trip; I find this organizer very useful and just what I need. My labels have lasted for 10 years, I sorted each page to reflect the aisles at my regular grocery store. I pull the sales coupons out ahead of time at home and place them in the lower clear pouch, I bring along the orgainzer and velcro it onto the grocery cart so it stays put when I need to find an additional coupon. This is much easier to use than plain envelopes or accordian-style coupon holders. The advantage of this over a recipe box system is that this velcro's onto the cart so it doesn't tip over and spill it's contents.
