| "Recovery" transcends simple aphorisms and oversimplified, reductionistic thinking. To work any recovery program, from any level of "stuckness," the process involves more interesting levels of thinking that will inevitably lead to correct action. Recovery can be quite simple, but requires an ongoing awareness of the *Larger Order,* whatever that is for you. If you see the timeless structure of the *Order* and work within it, all is well. Pretend that it doesn't exist, you can't recover fully. And partial recovery is synonymous with relapse. I have selected these books because they all recognize these comprehensive and comprehensible approaches to establish a full recovery practice for yourself and clients. Incidentally, I used Deep Recovery as a teaching tool for sales and management training for years - healthy relationships, healthy boundary management, and emotional regulation all encourage successful life practices. | ||
