From School Library Journal
PreSchool-Grade 1?Seventy five simple arts-and-crafts projects with clear, concise instructions. In the introduction, the author explains the "whole learning" concept on which the activities are based and gives safety tips for working with young children. The crafts are organized under general headings, such as "Animals and Trees," "Friendship," and "Family Fun." There are creative, unusual ideas ("Sawdust Bugs," "Tooth Fairy Pouch") as well as useful ones ("Picnic Packs," "Tea Party Place Mats"). "Around the World Celebrations" offers ideas from Egypt, Israel, Japan, China, Nigeria, and other countries. Of special interest to teachers and childcare providers is the section called "Big Fun in Special Places," which includes great pre- or post field-trip projects relating to the zoo, circus, museum, library, aquarium, etc. Black-and-white cartoon drawings make the directions even easier to understand. Each activity also features book suggestions, topics for discussion, further educational or artistic activities, or games. Many of the materials used are recycled and can be obtained for free. A helpful list of suggested items to save or scrounge is included. Hurrah to Press for this

Fantastic arts and crafts book for the little ones!
This book was recommended to me by my local librarian. My kids (2,4,5) loved doing the activities in it so much that I immediately bought it--and the others by the same author. Now, we can't put any of them down. Easy to do, lots of fun for the kids. Great projects for holidays especially.
Great Ideas
I have borrowed this book from my local library so many times that the librarian suggest I just buy it! It has been very helpful in giving me fast easy ideas for the children I work with. They are very clear and the pictures help a lot. The notes that often accompany each project lends a little more insight to each project. Overall a great book!
Great for Bonding with my Little Sister
"The Little Hands Big Fun Craft Book: Creative Fun for 2- To 6-Year-Olds" has been such a great craft and activity book for my little sister and I.
While I have been crafting for some time now, my sister is new to it and very enthusiastic when it comes to making things out of her very own craft book. So far all of the crafts we have done together from this book have been easy, straight forward and fun. The illustrations help my sister understand what to do and she likes that she can figure out some of the things for herself. I like that this gives us things to do together and that she is getting a good craft base that she may decide to expand on as she gets older.
If you have a young one in your life and are looking for fun activities to do with them, pick up this great book!
