Customer Reviews

I like it!5
Not only did I want to improve my sound quality from my laptop, but I was also getting a minor hiss from my stock card - especially when I had usb devices connected. Now, I can't listen to anything without the card because it just sounds so good! I plug directly into a pair of M-Audio BX8a's so the actual differences in sound really shine.

Regarding complaints about the card `falling out' or being too loose, ALL express cards that I have used are like that. Actually, this stays in my computer better than other express card's I have. The adapter really helps.

I stand by my purchase of the card and would do it again. It sounds good and fixed the buzzy problem I had with my stock sound card.

Lot of problems1
Sound not great.
Software opens menus on wrong monitor on dual monitor configuration, very annoying.
Weird background buzz on headphones, don't know where it's coming from, maybe the mic (which has no mute).
Sometimes music files played from disk skip.

And finally, it gave me the blue screen of death on Windows XP.

bullcrap!1
The card itself is good B U T !! These idiots DO NOT include with the card the attachment(s) for connecting the card to a surround speaker set! Not only do they not include it, BUT! it costs something like $50!!! A N D it is not even available for purchase yet!!!

,,,oh yeah! AND if you happen to have the Audigy notebook card that had a similar connection, as I have, then,,, you guessed it! The connection is of a different size and won't w o r k.
