Creative's sound blaster series are some of the best cards on the market at the time of their releases. X-Fi's are great cards and they can put out massive sound.

Buy new: $149.50 / Used from: $89.99 Oem might not be your thing, but it gets you vista for cheap cash. Most fo the myths relating to oem Os's are not true. You can only have this installed on one computer, but you can reinstall it as many times as regular OS's (i think Microsoft's limit is 5 before you have to call them to reactivate).
