From the Back Cover
“He who has not beheld this celebration has never seen joy in his life!”                                                                                                             —the Talmud

A bicyclist in today’s Israel riding with branches sticking out of his backpack . . . giant candelabras in the Temple, lighting up all of Jerusalem in Jesus’ time . . . Jesus calling out, “I am the Light of the world!” . . . Israelites putting up temporary shelters, or booths, as a symbol of the transience of life . . . have all been part of the joyful Feast of Tabernacles, which has been celebrated for thousands of years.

Christ in the Feast of Tabernacles will captivate you with its rich imagery of this great festival. From its origins of being celebrated with temporary shelters to modern day observances and even its meaning for heaven, you’ll be enriched by this fascinating account.

It is a joy to commend David Brickner's excellent book on the Festival of Tabernacles in the cycle of the seven holy days described in Leviticus 23.  Many will be surprised to learn how significant this Feast was in the life of our Lord and what a major part it plays in God's work of the end times. This book will open up whole new vistas for many readers of the Bible.

As Christians, we cannot understand our faith unless we understand the Jewish roots from which it springs. For example, all the feasts of Israel were designed by God specifically to teach us fundamental truths about the Lord Jesus and his work and ministry on our behalf. David Brickner has done a marvelous job of explaining these great spiritual truths to us in his book, Christ in the Feast of Tabernacles. It is a must reading for every serious student of the Word of God.

If you find boring and meaningless that long discussion of an ancient Jewish festival, here's a book that will change your mind while it blesses your heart.  You may not agree with all the details of Brickner's typology, but you will appreciate, as I did, the spiritual insights he draws from this ancient Jewish festival.

The Harmony of the Old and New Testament Revealed . . .5
I found this book to be a facinating study on how Jesus of Nazareth fulfilled all of the prophesies of the Old Testament. After spending the high holidays with my Jewish family and reading this book, I saw the truth of Jesus as the awaited Messiah revealed in the tradition of the Passover. This is a must read for any Jew searching for the Truth.

Excellent Historical Introduction for Christians5
Christianity started as a Jewish movement. Jesus and all 12 of his disciples were Jews. The central historic act of Christian worship, the Eucharist (or communion or Lord's Supper), was instituted during a Passover meal. Jesus, himself, tied his death to this meal. The New Testament ties Jesus' life, death, and resurrection to fulfillment of Hebrew Scriptures. As more and more Christians search for their historic roots, books of this nature will continue to grow in popularity.

This book does an excellent job of describing what early Christians and the rest of Christianity has accepted, "That Jesus is the Lamb of God, slain for the sins of the world." This book will strike an emotional chord in any Christian who reads it.

That being said, it is unlikely that most Jews will see the connections as strongly as Christians. This is a great book for Christians and possibly an interesting book for Jews. But Christians should not be surprized if Jews react with anger at one of their most important holy days being "hijacked" by another religion. How would Christians react if Muslims presumed to explain to them the true meaning of Christmas?

Excellent full picture of communion5
This is the best book I ever read on the Christian meaning of the Passover. The "Last Supper" was a Passover Seder and until this book I never knew the fullness of what Jesus was saying. What an eye opener!!!
