This simple unit provides safe, convenient, and attractive countertop storage for three Cuisinart blades and three cutting disks. It's designed to be used as stand-alone storage or side by side with Cuisinart's supplemental disk holder. The effective tamper-resistant locking device must be pulled out and twisted 90 degrees to access the cutting tools, and it automatically relocks when the lid is closed. Blades cannot be accessed via the open bottom, and disks can only be removed through the locking top. Moreover, when all three storage slots are occupied, the cutting edges of each disk are completely protected. Each blade holder is shaped to snugly fit its designated blade. Nice addition to food processor.
This is a handy addition to the food processor. If you have one of these, I am sure you might have discovered as I did just how sharp the blades are. I nicked myself more than once trying to grab my blade out of the bowl where I kept all of the attachements for this. This stores all of the basic disks and dough attachment as well as the chopping blade. There is room for one more disk in addition to what comes with the set. This making keeping your blades and disks in a handy place. My only complaint is the latch that keeps it shut, is a little aggrivating. You must twist the latch by pulling it out, and not just to the side. I couldn't think of a better way to keep everything together!

It doesn't fit!
This is listed as an accessory for the DLC-5 7-cup food processor on special. However, it works with all Cuisinarts *except* the DLC-XP, DLC-X, DLC-5 and LPP. This would have been nice to know in advance!

You Could do Better
So, now that we have established, in a different review, that this item will not hold the fixed-stem blades that come with the DLC-5, I have a question.

WHY DO YOU STILL LIST IT AS AN ACCESSORY FOR THE DLC-5?????

Can't you at least note that it doesn't accept the standard discs instead of expecting everyone to ferret out the information from the reviews?
