About the Author

Martha Weston was the author and illustrator of two charming picture books about Tuck, as well as the illustrator of Clarion's successful Owen Foote books by Stephanie Greene. Martha Weston died in 2003.

Hans Augusto Rey was born in Hamburg, Germany in 1898. As a child, he spent much of his free time in that city's famous Hagenbeck Zoo drawing animals. After serving in the army during World War I, he studied philology and natural science at the University of Hamburg. He then married Margret Rey and they moved to Montmartre for four years. The manuscript for the first Curious George books was one of the few items the Reys carried with them on their bicycles when they escaped from Paris in 1940. Eventually, they made their way to the United States, and Curious George was published in 1941. Curious George has been published in many languages, including French, German, Japanese, Afrikaans, and Norwegian. Additional Curious George books followed, as well as such other favorites as CECILY G. AND THE NINE MONKEYS and FIND THE CONSTELLATIONS.

B-Day Goody Bag Books4
These were used as favors for my son's 5th birthday party. I added a little sticker inside to thank everyone for coming. It's a great story, a familiar and cuious monkey and it even includes some fun games in the back. Many parents thanked me for encouraging their kids to read and most of all for not giving junk and candy.

How can you go wrong with Curious George?5
I bought this book to use as favors for my children's birthday party. The party was taking their cousins/friends to see the movie Curious George. It's a very cute book and Curious George's curiousity doesn't get him in too much trouble. It shows all the things that the man in the yellow hat does to prepare for a surprise party for George. It's great to see my children (3 and 5) enjoying book characters that I enjoyed as a child.

Another charming Curious George story5
This story follows the same story arch of all the others: Man with the yellow hat leaves George alone (will he never learn?), George inadvertently creates a disaster, and all works out in the end. My four year old loves Curious George and enjoyed a story with a birthday theme.
