About the Brand
Annie's Homegrown is a good company with good people that makes good food and does good stuff. From the beginning, Annie impressed upon us the necessity of operating responsibly by giving back to the community. Because if you don't take care of the folks who are taking care of you, everything gets ugly. And anyone who thinks an ugly planet is a healthy planet is a wackadoo. Annie's motto: Eat Responsibly. Act Responsibly.
Annie's Homegrown has stayed committed to its goals even as the company has expanded. With distribution in all 50 states, it's become the second-largest brand of macaroni and cheese in the U.S. And in their own words: "We know we're the first most delicious."
History of Annie's Homegrown
After creating Smartfood in 1982, one of the fastest-selling snack food products in U.S. history, Annie Withey co-founded Annie's Homegrown in 1989 with the idea of making a great-tasting, all-natural macaroni and cheese. In the end, though, she did a lot more than that.
In 1998, Annie's Homegrown was the first to develop and introduce three amazing kinds of organic macaroni and cheese. At the end of 2001, Annie's introduced a line of certified organic pasta, dressed up in a lovely bright purple box. And in 2005, Annie's introduced three flavors of Deluxe Mac and Cheese, four awesome flavors of organic crackers that they call Cheddar Bunnies, and three flavors of graham crackers called Bunny Grahams, made with organic ingredients.
Annie continues to be the inspirational leader of Annie's. She works from her home in Connecticut, answering some consumer letters and providing input on new product and marketing ideas. She remains the company's corporate conscience.
Customer Reviews
Yummy Bunnies!
My son (3) and I love these. He likes to hop them around and kiss them before he eats them. He likes all the Bunny Graham varieties (chocolate, honey, cinnamon); they taste like the traditional Graham crackers.
Excellent Bunnies
These are the best mini-graham snack I've tried, and they're adorable. Great in the car, on the plane, much better than drive-through and gas station fare. Annie's ingredients allow me to rationalize that it's not that bad, health-wise, to polish off a whole bag of bunnies. It probably isn't good, but I'm sure it could be worse.
Yummy!
I'm not usually a graham cracker/sweet snack kind of person, but these are absolutely delicious! Why anyone would continue to buy food made with hydrogenated fats when snacks like these are available is beyond me.
