Very Danceable Collection
After incorporating some other musical styles into their previous couple of recordings, Steve Riley and the Mamou Playboys wanted to do a recording that would stick closely to their Cajun tradition, all sung in French, and this very danceable collection is the rewarding result of their labors. With a little steel guitar thrown into the mix, but no saxophone this time around, this is a wonderful collection of tunes. I've been meaning to recommend these guys for a while (La Toussaint, for example, is a gas), but you know how time just flies by--thank goodness it's Friday at Last!

This warms my feet, heart, ears, and soul!!
The performances on this CD were exactly whjat I was looking for when I searched for Cajun/Zydeco music. Very enjoyable and great listening. A nice blend of music instrumentals and vocals. Masterful instrumental work and the patois is honey on my ears. Maman, ees zum fahn to good on mah ears, ya know it.

I'm still raving, and still wanting it!
If anyone knows how to jack Steve or his label up and get this re-released, please do....
