In 1881 Daniel Green, a young traveling shoe salesman for the Wallace Elliott Company in New York City, visited Dolgeville, New York. Daniel was shown a pair of felt shoes fashioned from waste pieces of piano felt which had been made in the Dolgeville Felt Mill. Daniel Green noticed that these felt shoes were worn by many factory workers to keep their feet warm and comfortable on the cold factory stone floors, and thus a legend in footwear was born.

They FIT!
Finally, a summer slipper that my narrow feet won't walk out of! They feel great after a shower. Easy care--just throw in the washer and air dry. I want another pair.

not very comfortable in between toes
Daniel Green has such a wonderful reputation that I did NOT hesitate to purchase their Thong slipper --

Since I'm a Type 1 diabetic, I must be very careful regarding the care of my feet --the "thong" is too hard and hurts inbetween the toes. This is a huge disapointment to me

I've tried washing them several times and --to date --it has NOT gotten any softer.

Bought a CHEAP pair of slipper thongs and the thong is made of a SOFT SOFT material that does NOT hurt inbetween the toes.

The best slippers I've ever worn!
My sister bought me a pair of the Daniel Green Tonya slippers 2 years ago for Christmas and I love them!! I bought a new pair about 9 months ago and have worn them out too. I was so disappointed when I found that the Daniel Green online store didn't carry them anymore and then I found them on Amazon and ordered 3 pair; the online store that never fails me! I live in Arizona and these are the best slippers for indoors and the rubber sole allows me to wear them outside too....I hate to wear shoes so these are great!
