Editorial Reviews
Amazon.com Product Description
Whatever you do, don't call this a house-shoe. Daniel Green's Sydney scuff will bring a contemporary look and unbeatable comfort to your bedtime routine. It has an utterly cute, chunky, knit upper with a candy-colored yarn collar and a soft fleece lining that will keep your tootsies cozy and warm.
From the Manufacturer
In 1881 Daniel Green, a young traveling shoe salesman for the Wallace Elliott Company in New York City, visited Dolgeville, New York. Daniel was shown a pair of felt shoes fashioned from waste pieces of piano felt which had been made in the Dolgeville Felt Mill. Daniel Green noticed that these felt shoes were worn by many factory workers to keep their feet warm and comfortable on the cold factory stone floors, and thus a legend in footwear was born.
Customer Reviews
Not happy with these slippers.
These slippers look old when new. the sole is very flat and
thin. I will probably give these away.
Great Slipper. .. runs small
I ordered these slippers in red for around $15. They are great for that price. I would not order these for the top price of $50. . . I'd rather put that sort of money toward a pair of Haflingers.
But, for $15, they're great. Be warned, however, that they run really small. I normally wear a wide 7.5 or an 8 and could barely cram my feet into the 8M that I ordered. They also seemed short, not just narrow. So, I'm returning them. I'd order a whole size too big in these slippers.
Not Cuddly As They Look
I purchased these because the knitted tops made me think they would be soft over the top of the foot. Not so. There is an inner lining that is stiff and, at least for my toes, uncomfortable. I returned them and am just going to go with wool socks.
