Buy used from: $33.39 This short-lived show about a female teenager's adolescence made a star of Claire Danes. Think "The Wonder Years", but from a girl's perspective. Very hard to find on dvd, but worth tracking down.

Buy used from: $15.16 David Lynch created this terrificly atmospheric mystery/drama series. Rarely syndicated (and out of print on dvd), those who HAVE seen it almost universally consider it among the great tv dramas.

Buy new: $38.99 / Used from: $16.24 The early seasons of Law & Order were its best; especially liked the 2nd season--Paul Sorvino was great as Detective Phil Cerrata, and look for Jerry Orbach in a guest role before he became a regular.
