X-Files Meets Escape From NYC
Each of the issues in the book can stand alone, but the true power of Jimmie Robinson's creation becomes evident in this Omnibust, since all the elements in the story are revealed to us: we are just tools in the minds and hands of those who have been tasked with the stewardship of the world:)
Bomb Queen reads like a well thought out combination of X-Files and Escape From New York City; if you enjoyed those classics, you are sure to have a good time with BQ:)
Although there are numerous instances of exceptionally disturbing situations, the bright coloring and manga-fusion style art work help blunt the offensive material. For instance, the inscrutable, Fagin clone, Momma Wong and the morally bankrupt, apathetic citizens of New Port City would not be welcome in most communities, but in the pages of BQ, these characters allow us to question the current state of society.
Parts of the Omnibust are dedicated to the creator Jimmie Robinson: his career, pencil sketches and the creative process of BQ; very interesting:)
The quality of the book itself is exceptional: plenty of space so it is easy to read all the panels, solid covers, good quality paper and ink; even with minimal care this book should last a very long time.
