From the Back Cover

"One of the best relationship books for our times. Culbreth’s endearing style offers true laughs on the way to securing true love." —Pamela Redmond Satran, author of The Man I Should Have Married
Maybe you’ve heard wonderful success stories about online dating but are a little intimidated to try it. Or perhaps you think there are no terrific men your age. That’s how journalist Judsen Culbreth felt until she gave online dating a try. She discovered that older single men significantly outnumber women on online dating sites, and, more important, they’re eager to make a match with someone who shares their interests (and generation).
Whether you’re new to online dating, or need a refresher course to boost your dating confidence, Culbreth, who married her cyber-sweetheart at age 52, guides you through the practical aspects of this new venture, including:
• The differences among the various Internet date sites
• How to craft an online personal ad
• E-mail etiquette
• When to meet in person
She also gently offers you personal wisdom, from uncovering your mental roadblocks to dating and revamping your image, to brushing up on the world of men and how to approach the ever-important topic of intimacy. Filled with real life success stories, checklists, worksheets, and fun facts to get you motivated and courting the smart way, The Boomers’ Guide to Online Dating is the reassuring resource you need—your handbook to finding the perfect man.

Customer Reviews

Minimize your fears...maximize your skills and self-confidence.....5
As I experienced it, when finding yourself alone, maybe even for the first time in your life, you can embrace one of two strategies: the passive one...waiting for someone to drop out of the sky into your life, or the active one... figuring out what sort of guy you want to spend the rest of your life with and then searching for him! This book equips you with the skills to master the search process that has the highest probability of success ...internet dating.
Don't let pride ("I'm too good for this"), bitterness ("all men are jerks"), denial ("I'm perfectly content spending the rest of my life alone") or ego ("I have a Ph.D...I can figure this out on my own") keep you from taking advantage of the sound wisdom contained in this book. Culbreth, in a style which is both witty and warm, walks you though the fog of fear and self-doubt that we inevitably encounter when faced with the daunting task of finding a mate at this stage of our lives. It may have been a long time since you did any thinking about who you are and what you really want. Culbreth helps you through this. You may have difficulty remembering what men are looking for... Culbreth helps you remember. As women we have been socialized to be self-effacing. Culbreth helps you overcome this tendency in order to construct a personal profile which illuminates the strengths and qualities of your unique being.
I know Culbreth deeply believes there is someone out there for you...and I do, too. So take a deep breath, buy the book, and enjoy your search.

This Book Is NOT!!! for guys!!!!2
This is a well written book but very improperly titled. It should be titled, "The WOMAN's guide to online dating."

Guys if you're looking for a book that answers guy specific questions, look elsewhere. There are no answers here!!!
