The colorful artwork will appeal to fans of David Shannon's work as will the tongue-in-cheek storytelling. David Slonim is the author-illustrator of Oh Ducky! and the illustrator of Emily and Albert by Jan Ormerod and Moishe's Miracle by Laura Krauss Melmed, which was a New York Times Outstanding Book of the Year. A graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, he lives in Indiana with his wife and their four children. His daughter, Mary, was the inspiration for the character of Sophie in He Came with the Couch .

Love Childrens Books
The theme of acceptance has been delivered in a wonderfully unique story that brings a huge grin to the face of reader and "readee" alike. I came across this book while on vacation and couldn't wait to deliver it to the 3year old little person that was having a birthday. The fun illustrations are absolutely delightful and a joy for whoever is turning the pages.

Cute story
I purchased this as a gift for my 5 year old nephew. It is a cute story; good for the 6 and under crowd.
