You'll have the dog in the palm of your hand with this radio-controlled Sportdog training system from Petsafe. Ideal for training bigger, more obstinate dogs in the field and for close-range hunting, this radio-controlled dog collar and handheld transmitter system features a 1/4-mile range and high-intensity stimulation for larger dogs or for canines that are more mule than mutt. A finger-dial on the side of the transmitter lets you choose from 16 different of electric stimulation settings varying in intensity and duration. With 8 extended-stimulation settings that last up to 8 seconds in duration, and 8 momentary-stimulation settings that last just 5/100's of a second, the system covers a wide variety of training options. If the dog gets distracted or starts to run off after the wrong game, you can immediately adjust intensity and regain control. There are plenty of options for teaching yard-work, sheep trials, obedience and more. Lower levels of electric stimulation are great for introducing new commands. Higher levels help stop bad behavior.

Great for field use inclement weather, water-fowl hunting and more, the transmitter and receiver are fully waterproof and submersible. Both are powered by rechargeable, replaceable NiCad batteries for optimal reliability. With the transmitter weighing just 3.2 ounces and the receiver collar weighing just 2.8 ounces, the system is great for packing along on hunting trips. I tried this on my Siberian Husky, he can be a very stubborn dog at times and has a high tolerance for pain. I set it on one and he didn't even flinch, I adjusted it to two and he reacted to that and followed my commands right away. I wouldn't imagine you would ever have to turn this all the way up for any dog, but it works great!

Simply amazing!!!
This thing really works. I got it because my previous collar used regular batteries and needed to be replaced weekly. I can leave the SD-400S charging all night and put it on my dog during the day. He has learned new tricks like "come" and "heal" since I got this collar. I have only used it up to level 3 and that's strong enough for a 80 lb lab. Hope this helps :-)

Sportdog Field Trainer is Worth the Cost
This product has worked great. I was a little scared to spend the money on this product because I did not know if it would work, but it does. The first day it took some getting used to-me and the dog. After that I can take him out without a leash no problem. DO WATCH THE VIDEO FIRST OR THE COLLAR WILL NOT WORK FOR YOU.
