Customer Reviews
A masterpiece. A must read for all "Neptunians."
This book is nothing short of amazing. Beautifully and intelligently written, it manages to skillfully reveal the complex and nebulous meanings of Neptune through the use of myth, psychology, astrology, history, insight, and compassion. I would recommend it even to those not interested in astrology, as it has great insights to offer those who have ever experineced such common human experiences as a troubled relationship, a profound yearning, or a spiritual crisis.
If you want to really understand Neptune, this is your book!
The very nature of Neptune in the horoscope is so vague, foggy and ethereal that it defies organized description. Instead of attempting this, although there is a "cookbook" section in the back of the book, Liz Greene uses words to allow you to *experience* Neptune. As with the other transpersonal planets, Pluto and Uranus, understanding how Neptune operates in individuals and relationships is crucial. This is not a good book for beginning astrologers, or for anyone who doesn't prefer or enjoy a psychological approach to the subject. For those who do and have some experience with the language of astrology, you'll love it!
ELLUSIVE NEPTUNE: Finally captured in words!
Liz Greene has most certainly captured Neptune in this book! Whenever I have delineated charts, I have always said "Ah Neptune makes me nuts!". As there is not anything wrong with Neptune, it is just that is complicated, emotional and more of a "state" of existence or experience that is difficult to describe in "words". The words typically available in the mundane can frquently cause the native/recipient to misunderstand or misinterpret the actual experience vs. meaning (especially when they are going through a Neptunian experience!). I was very pleased to finally find an author that was able to capture this in writing. Liz clearly and respectfully points this out in her book. It was even more clear to me that she understood Neptune, due to the size of the book. Neptune needs much description! She understands! This book certainly assisted me in helping others. Thank you Liz
