Album Description
2009 release. For the last three years, Crooked X have been banging out their own brand of kick-ass Rock, inspired by greats such as Metallica, AC/DC and Led Zeppelin. They were discovered on the CBS' morning show Living Room Live where they came in second. This got the attention of media strategists/managers Spencer Proffer and Doc McGhee (Kiss, Motley Crue, Bon Jovi) who signed the 14 year olds up. They have been honing their live show while opening up for acts such as Black Stone Cherry, Ted Nugent and Kiss.

Excellent New Stuff From A 50 Year Old Heavy Music Lover
I first heard this band on Sirius' Octane station with the song, "Rock N Roll Dream" . I had no idea that they were a group of young men.....meaning teenagers. Still, this has no bearing on their music. Old school based metal with a twist of new.
I'm always thrilled to see yet another younger generation not just enjoying metal, but who are influenced by those of past bands. Great to see young people actually taking interest in musical instruments, instead of just bragging how they can create beats. Every song on this CD is refreshing and actually very listenable and can be played on radio.
Here's hoping these guys have a great career and thanks for continuing the struggle to keep heavy music alive.
I may be 50 years old now, but I still have an ear for great music. People who enjoy this kind of music should pick up a copy and enjoy.
Put King's X, Metallica, & Fuel in a blender!
This album is killer! I hear all kinds of influences, from the ones I mentioned in the title but also Judas Priest and Iron Maiden. The songs are great, the vocals and harmonies are amazing, and the music is ultra-heavy. It's hard to believe these guys are teenagers! Along with Black Tide, it appears there is a new generation of real metal still evolving.
This is definitely the album of the year so far, and I'll be surprised if anything can top it. Rock off!
Crooked X rocks hard and mighty
Can't wait for this album to be released. I heard them perform "Gone" on Mark and Brian in L.A. on January 15 and even for young kids they are real deal old school rock and rollers with enough contemporary edge to make them relevant. They could very well be my new favorite rock band if the album is as good as the live versions. Long live rock n roll.
