This is not for beginners. It helps you clear up what is important in a birth chart and what is not, and if you are already familiar with the basics, it makes interpreting a birth chart feel less intimidating.

Another classic by Arroyo - Here he deals mainly with the "karmic" planets: Moon, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto. All of his books are worth reading.

Martin Schulman is a gifted writer, and this is a great book on the ascendant, with karmic references

My favorite on composite charts. Another good suggestion is "Skymates, Vol. II" by Jodie and Steven Forrest.

This is my top choice on predictive astrology. Comprehensive, technical and very well writen.

One of the best books on Horary Astrology. Comprehensive and easy to read. My second choice (but a good second) is Anthony Louis's "Horary Astrology Plain and Simple"
