I own Scott Kelby's Mac OS X Tiger tips and I will certainly buy this one when it becomes available. These 'Tips' books are in full color and printed on high quality paper which makes them easier on the eyes than most other books. I would recommend buying this book after you have had some experience using your new Mac.

Robin Williams got me into computers. She made computers accessible and fun at a time of my life when I wouldn't have touched one of the little buggers with a 10 foot quarter staff. The illustrations in her books are cute and the text very easy to read. She writes just as well as David Pogue but I think her books are a bit more accessible to the average 'computer shy' person.

If you need to run Windows on your new Mac, this program will make it very easy for you to do so. I've heard a lot of not-so-good things about their tech support but I personally have never had any problems with my Parallels program. NOTE: If you install Windows onto your Mac, your computer will be just as vulnerable to viruses as a Windows PC so please install virus protection software.
