This book is essential for codifying important ideas about our 'reality tunnels' and techniques for altering them, and for soundly grasping multi-model thinking. This is also an excellent introduction to a wide range of Robert Anton Wilson's ideas, in the context of a narrative of a period of his own life. I highly recommend this as a starting point before advancing to any of the following books.

It's a gem. It's loaded with practical exercises.This might be the best book you'll ever buy. Don't immediately dismiss it based on the seemingly anachronistic conceptual vocabulary.

This was an interesting read. It's short, challenging, and of interest to those who are interested in the possible bridges between science and magick (or religion).

A R.A.W. classic. More important to Discordianism than the Principia Discordia. Hysterically funny, and a psychedelic experience in itself. The mere act of reading it provokes and promotes multi-model thinking.

This one gets deeper (much deeper) into some of his pet theories about cosmogeny, the fabric of reality and the nature of time. Even if you aren't a fan of chaos magick, this one is worth checking out if you are intrigued by speculative physics.

If you made it through Peter Carroll, you'll probably want to read this one for some expanded perspective. If you did NOT like Carroll's approaches to his books, but were interested in some of the ideas, then you might find this one a better place to start.

One reviewer summed it up well: 'I truly had no idea the robotizing effect language has on our behavior and perceptions.' This is basically the follow-up to Prometheus Rising.

This is a good supplement to 'Initiation Into Hermetics' listed above, as well as a concise treatment of the Hermetic school of occult philosophy.

The typical use of this workbook seems to be as a follow-up to Astral Dynamics. I did practice the exercises while reading AD, but I wasn't very disciplined. I'm now using this book to revisit and expand upon those practices.

I must preamble this by admitting that Ophiel is an atrocious writer, and parts of this book are terribly hokey, but there are some important ideas in here, treated in a way I haven't seen elsewhere. This is a valuable supplement to books listed above, especially to those enamored with CMT.

An interesting examination of ego deconstruction through submission to chance/chaos, and the consequences involved in breaking through personal and societal taboos. It's a worthwhile read for anyone interested in or practicing ego deconstruction techniques. It's also a great novel with a lot of dark humor.

I had to include at least one Carlos Castaneda book for completeness. While all of them are worthwhile, this is the first and most important if you read only one. This is a journey into the shamanic experience, with a lot of good concepts to apply to magickal and/or psychedelic work.

Regardless of your beliefs about divination, Tarot is a way of gaining insight into your subsurface thoughts and feelings by using archetypes to paint a conceptual picture to reflect upon. The more I use it, the more I value it.

This is a remarkable interview with Alex Grey, and the slideshow gallery feature is alone worth the price of this DVD.
