LifeScan’s OneTouch UltraSoft sterile lancets are designed for use with the OneTouch Ultra and OneTouch InDuo blood glucose monitoring systems. UltraSoft lancets have a thin tip that provides less painful penetration during testing. In addition, LifeScan’s glucose systems allow you to avoid pain by testing on your arm rather than a finger, which has more nerve endings. OneTouch UltraSoft lancets need only a tiny blood sample, so you don’t need to penetrate deeply when drawing blood. In addition, the OneTouch Ultra meter is accurate within five seconds. While UltraSoft sterile lancets are designed specifically for LifeScan’s OneTouch glucose monitoring systems, they should fit most other blood sampling devices.

Directions
Wash hands with soap and warm water. Dry well. Load lancet into lancing device and twist off protective cap. Choose a spot on the side of a different finger each time you take a blood sample. Follow lancing device manufacturer's instructions for obtaining a blood sample. Eject lancet from lancing device and snap-on safety cap before discarding. To minimize the pain of testing, change lancet after every use to ensure the least painful puncture. Lancets become dull and painful when reused. Warnings
For your safety, never share a lancet with another person. These are sterile devices; do not use if protective disk has been damaged or removed.

"THAT'S IT... AND IT'S OVER"
With just one push of the button, the OneTouch Ultra Soft Sterile Lancet pricks your finger, and the job is done. It is quick and painless. Now can you actually feel the finger prick? What you do feel will depend more on the setting you set the depth you need to draw a tiny drop of blood.

The OneTouch Ultra Lancets are made to work with the OneTouch Ultra blood meters. I hear that they can be used with others meters. With the meter comes a device that the lancet is pushed into the top, and then the top of the lancet is twisted off. I then use this top to put on the old lancet and dispose of it properly. I use the lancet device on the first setting, but there are 9 different settings to work with. I have thin skin and it only takes just a tiny prick to draw all the blood needed for my OneTouch Ultra blood meter. The lancets metal part is very thin and very sharp, and using a new lancet each time gives the best result. Any lancet will become duller with each repeated use. (Note: Never use a used lancet on a different person, and also wash the top of the pricking device too.)

I am very happy with the use of this product along with my OneTouch Ultra blood meter. Testing can't get much simpler or better!

ridculous shipping charges
I find it ridculous that the shipping charges for this $3 item was approx $10. The reason why I bought from Amazon was for the pricing. I might as well have gone to the local drug store.
