good fun toy, especially for those with a harry potter fixation. the noise it makes is a little irritating for the parents though. we took out the batteries after a few days.

Stopped Working Within 3 Hours
This wand is absolute junk. On the back of the wand is a plate that must be unscrewed to install two AA batteries. The batteries are a tight fit with one going up into the body of the wand. When you shake the wand or make any movement the tip of the wand lights up and makes a noise.

Within three hours, the toy no longer worked at all. My guess is that there is a loose connection but there is no way to see it because the negative connection and wire are in the body of the wand which is impossible to get to. Why they couldn't have made a better battery compartment with an on/off switch is beyond me. We didn't spend a lot for the toy but I do expect it to work for longer than three hours.

The ONLY reason we are keeping it is because my son loves it and can still pretend even though the wand does not work.
