Product Description

A modern shoulder style bag that’s designed for those of us who only seem to remember our reusable bags the moment we need them. A stretchy pouch makes it a cinch to go from a full size bag to small ball in seconds flat. Stash one in your messenger bag or purse, ready to go, 24-7. I already forget my reusable bag. Why should I buy another? If you’ve tried to switch to reusable bags, you’ve probably learned that the hardest part is simply remembering to bring your bags with you each time you go shopping. Making this problem even tougher, not all shopping trips are even planned. flip & tumble’s reusable bags get around the whole “remembering” problem because they’re small enough to simply live in your purse, or messenger bag all the time. That way, they’re simply there when you need them. Are flip & tumble’s bags ecologically sound? A reusable bag can easily save over 1000 plastic bags in its lifetime, but there’s a catch. This only works if the reusable bag gets used. Unfortunately, too many reusable bags wind up gathering dust in the back of a closet. We’ve put a lot of time into considering the needs and lifestyles of real people, so your bags won’t become friends with the dust bunnies. What’s flip & tumble doing to help the planet? We’re committed to helping shoppers make the switch to reusable bags, but we also think how we operate as a business is just as important. We try and keep our footprint on the earth a little lighter by operating as a carbon neutral business. Our carbon credits go towards planet-friendly projects such as exploring clean energy and development of landfill gas capture. We also try hard to do the little things that matter. Sometimes it’s just about using the 2nd side of a piece of paper, recycling our paper and cardboard waste, or avoiding unnecessary car trips. Chances are, your shipment will even be biked to the post office.

I Flipped5
I use a variety of reusable shopping bags, but the one that has been perpetually in my backpack for the last two years is the handy (rather unfashionable) black Acme Workhorse. It stuffs into a little ball and it's functional, but it's not exactly pleasing to the eye.

I've just discovered Flip and Tumble shopping bags and I'm in love. Bye bye basic black and hello beautiful bright happy color! They stuff up into a ball, just like the others, but have a new feature, one I haven't seen yet in a reusable shopping bag. These hang on your shoulder. You can still carry them in your hands, but the handle is long enough, and padded, so that you have both options.

You have to go to the Flip & Tumble website and check these out. They are not your average shopping bag. I love the modern design and wide range color palate. The self-stuffing feature works much better than what I'm used to and looks cooler, while bright colors are easier to spot in the bottom of your backpack. The stuff mechanism even makes it's own little pocket inside the bag for loose things and the patch of felt padding on the shoulder helps keep the bag from slipping off.

They're called 24-7 bags and I think that's a perfect name, the idea being that you keep them with you all the time. I think they'd be great while traveling, at the Farmer's Market, the beach non-food related shopping trips, laundry day....any time you need a bag.

I took mine on a test run last night to get some basic groceries and found them to be comfortable and easy to use. Highly recommended!

The most convenient bag out there!4
I stumbled across these bags while looking for another brand, and I'm so glad I did. I've bought a dozen or so of the nonwoven bags you find in the grocery stores, and almost never remember to get them from the house to the car once they're empty....let alone remember to take them into the store!

With the Flip and Tumble bags, as soon as they've been emptied, I simply bundle them back up into a self contained ball & tuck them right back into my purse. Since I bought them two months ago, I've never been without a bag when I needed one. Yes, they're pretty wrinkled when they're unwrapped, but as soon as they're filled, the wrinkles are basically gone. Frankly the convenience factor far outweighs the crumpling issue.

The shoulder strap has a small amount of padding for additional comfort, and is plenty long enough to wear crosswise or over a shoulder. Try THAT with a regular nonwoven reusable bag or most of the other totes out there. It's also sturdy enough to carry a larger or heavier load than you'd put in a normal grocery bag.

My only request--please make them in some fun prints. It would even help disguise the wrinkles!

A reusable bag is only useful when you have it on you--with the Flip and Tumble, I finally always have a bag on hand, and a lot fewer plastic bags building up in my pantry.

the only reusable bag that I consistently use5
I have tried almost every kind of reusable bag available: canvas, baggu, envirosax, earthwise, whole foods feed 100, generic grocery store nonwovens....and this is the only one I end up using on an almost daily basis. While other bags claim that they are easy to store in your purse/backpack, the reality is that you will not be bothered to fold them neatly into their storage pockets after every use. They are more likely to end up tangled up in your purse, or left behind in the car! Flip and tumble bags are really fun and easy to use - I actually enjoy crushing them up into a tiny ball. For the frequency of use I get from these, they are worth every penny.
